What’s New!

It is hard to explain what I have been doing all summer but one word sums it up: WORK. While it would be difficult to show you all that I have been up to I have tried to give you an idea in this update.

The Oregon Club of Portland has been getting “geared up” for the big football season. Once a year OCOP has an auction to support Oregon athletics. This year they are honoring former head coach Rich Brooks who started coaching in the 70’s. I thought a Pee Chee folder theme for the event would be a fun retro tie-in adapted with their school colors.

They are also sending members postcards with game schedules and luncheon schedules attached to the mailing side of the postcards. It is a great product and saved them postage from doing separate mailings.

In addition, they are running Portland Tribune ads to attract members and participation.

ST Joe’s Sausage Fest is coming up. My daughter Charlie will be in first grade there this year. I designed this year’s stein logo that will be used through the promotion of the event including steins and t shirts. To get discounted tickets go to http://www.stjoevanschool.org/sausagefest.htm

The idea behind the logo was to use the school colors and have a youthful feel. The money made is used to support the school and parish and is a fun event for all ages!

The marketing campaign contains MANY components that family together all year long. A short laundry list includes banner, shirts, window vinyl, buttons, banners, bags, aprons, holiday graphics the list goes on. I also work on private label packaging for the group.

Ads are a big part of my work load. I am currently doing monthly ads for Creative Habitat in Burlington, Vermont; Ben Franklin in Kaysville, Utah; Creative Crafts and Frames in Corvallis, Oregon and Craft Warehouse in Vancouver, WA. I also supply the base ads for the rest of the SPC craft stores nationwide; as well as web graphic support and just about anything else they need. Does everything look alike? Yes? Good, it is suppose to: it is called Branding. SO that is what I did for summer vacation. Thanks for stopping by!
